Some
"Some people are born to sit by a river, some get struck by lightning, some have an ear for music, some are odd, some swim, some know buttons, some know Shakespeare, some are mothers, and some people dance." -The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Goatman's ITASC Research
Hardly did I get any mind blows recently and I've been eagerly searching for some. Then one day, to my surprise, my friend Goatman who's also a fellow Blenderhead, linked me to his latest research and study with Blender's new IK solving system known as ITASC (don't ask me what that acronym stands for). A few months ago, we've recently been discussing about this new feature added, that somehow it seems pretty naive and futile. But lo and behold, he enlightened me once again. I just hope that I could get my hands on finally rigging again and I'm missing it a lot, minus the boring repetitions and caveats.
Anyhow, pardon me for rambling too much, here it is:

3 Months Old Cookie
Warning: This is a non-Blender/non-GIMP related post.
You might remember Cookie from my recent post here > http://reynantem.blogspot.com/2010/07/cookie.html
It's been a month since I last posted a photo of our dear puppy. Here he is now, in his 3 months old glory. ^_^

Advanced Effects using Blender Particle System
Hi! As promised, here's part 2 of our Blender Particle article. In this part, I'll discuss some of the advanced usages of Blender's particle system which includes the Disintegration Effect, Multiple Particle Interactions, and Boids. Have fun!

Flight Blend File
Hi everyone! Just a few hours ago, somebody asked me to share my material and lighting settings for my video Flight which you can see here > http://reynantem.blogspot.com/2010/07/flight.html
You can now have a look at the sample blend file I made which contains my material settings, lighting, and a look at my composite noodles.

Boids Boids Boids Node Breakdown
Hi, here's a composite node breakdown of the recent particle test I did wit Blender 2.53. The .blend file will be available in the article that it is written on. I'll update you through posts once it's available.
Thanks for viewing! ^_^

Boids Boids Boids
Been very excited with Blender's boids lately. This is just a test animation which is a result from my upcoming Introduction to Blender's Particle System (Part 2). I have included in the article my setup which would also include my compositing steps.
I'll update my posts once it's live.
Thanks for viewing. ^_^

Flame
First off, this is purely experimental with no real-world derivation since I don't have a concrete knowledge on the behavior of flame and smoke (strength, density structures, falloff, etc.). If there are anyone out there willing to give me lessons on real fire, I'd love to listen.
Made with: Blender 2.53
Domain Resolution: 112
Vorticity: 2
Dissolve Time: 20
High Resolution Division: 2
Noise Method: FFT
Noise Strength: 2
Particle Amount: 80,000
Have flaming fun! ^_^
To those of you interested with the smoke setup, you can grab the .blend file here > http://depositfiles.com/files/3z6j3t723
